Birdwatching in Africa - Rufous-crowned Roller, Coracias naevius or Purple Roller


The Rufous-crowned Roller (Coracias naevius), or Purple Roller, is widespread in sub-Saharan Africa. Compared with other rollers its colours are rather dull and its voice rather harsh and grating.
