Monday 6 th of May 2013 and the driver was waiting for me at the parking lot when I went down
with my garbage quarter to 10. And of course, the garbage was sorted in to 4
bags. And I'm sorry to say that it was plastic bags, well, except for the bag with paper.This was of course a paper bag. But never the less it was 4 bags containing:
• Paper
• Metal and glass, of course, cans were cleaned
• Plastic (Most empty Diet MAX bottles)
• General garbage, empty smoked salmon wrappings etc
I told the driver that I would be back in 10 and I went to get my luggage. I was a wee bit confused with the driver. It started when I came down with my garbage. I saw a Mercedes on the parking lot. Tinted windows so I could not see in to the car. I knocked on the driver side window and the car started and this was not the reaction I had expected. Of course I expected the driver to open the window. I knocked again and now he opened the window.
- Are you here to take me to the airport
- Yes
- Give me 10 minutes
I was back down after 10 minutes and I handed him my voucher and I told him that I wanted to pay the balance and I gave him a 1000 Baht bill.
- 200 Baht back, he said
I didn't react, I wasn't paying any attention to what he said. But he handed me a 100 Baht note and then he handed me a second 100 Baht note.
- NO NO! Only one, I said.
- 200 Baht back
- How much is the balance? I asked
He showed me a note with 875 and asked him what 1000 - 875 was. I Never got any answer, but he wanted to hand me another 100 Baht note.
- NO ONE IS ENOUGH

We took off towards Suvarnabhumi International and he asked if I was going home.

Ok, so he is on the right track, he knows Khao Soi, the curry soup from the north. Otherwise Khao Soi is the same as steamed rice as well.
Khao Soi - sometimes also called Chiang Mai Curry Noodles - consists of a mild thin coconut-based soup featuring hand cut egg noodles, pickled cabbage, shallots, lime and chicken, and topped with deep-fried crispy egg noodles.
Well, anyway, I knew that he was with me when he mentioned Chiang Mai, a good sign. He asked me if I had a wife.

Then I started to speak English to make him shut up and it was quiet in the car. Well, until we did 150 down the highway. There were still cars overtaking us, but never mind, I told him to slow down and he kept 110 until we reached the last highway to Suvarnabhumi. Then he started to speed again and I told him to slow down.

It was 11 when we reached the airport and I was soon checking in at China Airlines check in desk.
Not much people checking in and I suspect most of the passengers are on their way from Taipei to Amsterdam. Flight CI 0065 just make a stop-over at Suvarnabhumi on the way from Taipei to Amsterdam. Well, anyway, I had a discussion with 3 beautiful girls at China Airlines about the e-cigarette and it turned out that it was not allowed onboard.
They even called the manger to make sure while I was blowing smoke at them- See see no smell!
But no smoking and I went outside for a few last drags on my e-cigarette before I went to the security and immigration. I was soon in China Airlines lounge and they had Minute Maid. I had 2 bottles and a few peanuts while waiting for my flight. I also had time to make a internet search for images on China Airlines.
Something I was soon to regret and if you look on the below pictures you will understand why. And I don't like to fly and the pictures was for sure doing nothing to “PEP” me before boarding Flight CI 0065

Tuesday 7 th
of May 2013
and I left the lounge around 1 o'clock in the morning. I went to the smoke room for a few puffs on my e-cigarette before boarding China Airlines flight CI 0065 to
Amsterdam at gate E1 on Suvarnabhumi International.The flight from Taipei was delayed so it was almost 2 o'clock when we started to board the aircraft. I was very tired and I almost fell asleep. But I forced myself to stay awake or I would risk waking up in the middle of the night again.
We taxed out to the run way and I discovered a monitor in front of me. The monitor was obviously connected to a camera in the front of the plane. And this was nothing I was happy about, and with the pictures from internet fresh in mind I noticed every vibration in the plane.
And I almost shat myself when it felt like we started to dip down with the nose. But the Pilot was
obviously in control and we gained height and Bangkok disappeared behind us in the dark.But it took me quite some time to calm down from what I thought was a near death experience, landing gears came in with a bang and we dipped for a sec.
They were soon around to take our food orders and I asked for lamb for supper. No salmon, but they had some pate or something for starter. I asked for a Spanish omelette for breakfast.

I thought she asked what I wanted to have to drink with my
breakfast. But it was obviously for the dinner and she soon came around with 2 cups of tea.One cup was ok, but there was something yellowish in the other cup and that didn't taste very well. I asked what it was they had served me.

I asked them to remove the Hula something tea and I enjoyed my Earl Grey tea.They were quite quick with the supper. I started with the Pate. Pate, according to the menu it was duck terrine. I don't know what terrine is, but it was OK, not like salmon, but OK.
The lamb and mashed potatoes was very good and I had a sleeping pill when I had finished my lamb. The Stewardess asked if I wanted dessert.
- No thanks, just a bottle of water stand-by for the night

And I felt a sleep and I slept like I had not been able to in a very long time and I woke up when

I had my orange juice and they were soon serving breakfast and I felt very good. (Considering I was onboard an aircraft) I went to blow my nose at the galley in the aft and the Steward pointed at the Stewardess.

The Stewardess was just laughing, and no, I don't want to get married and move to Taiwan. But I suspected that the Steward liked the Stewardess. A slight difference from the Stewards I meet on Thai Airways, they seems like they like boys, at least a few of them I have meet. Never mind, whatever rocks your boat.
I had a constitutional
around the aircraft and I was in a pretty good mood, even though I was tired. 8 hours of sleep in an aircraft must be equal to 20 minutes something in my own bed. But imagine trying to sleep in monkey class. I would have, maybe at best, managed to get a few hours equal to exactly 0 hours in my own bed.I ran in to the Stewardess again and she continued to go on about my sleeping. And I had to tell her that I had a sleeping pill at departure from Bangkok yesterday. She was amazed about my sleeping all the way and I got a wee bit scared. What did I do while sleeping? She is an airline Stewardess and she must have seen millions of people sleeping so what’s so foocking special with me sleeping? Well, maybe she is.... No, can't be, can it? She wants’ to get married.

I passed Immigration and Custom and there was a driver waiting for me and we took off towards the immigration in Rotterdam. And I could not help myself but getting upset. Here they are checking the passport and they did not even look at
the passport at Schiphol and I was attacked by 50 (most likely illegal immigrants) persons wanting to sell me drugs between the terminal and the car. And walking around Damplein in Amsterdam is even worse.But Sailors coming to town to make good for their country its obviously a terrible threat to them. I used to love Holland, but when the immigration is coming around the corner I just get angry. They look in my passport.
