Saturday 19 th of February 2011 and what the
is wrong with Thai people? Pure luck that I was up and about. I heard someone knocking on the door. Then a few quick pull on my door and 2 signals
on the door bell. It might have taken me 45 seconds, well, anyway, less than a minute before I opened the door.I heard the door to the elevator close and I thought what the
is going on. I went back to my bed room and I checked out the parking lot from the balcony. Yes, as I suspected, the
delivery van from Tops.I waited for the guy to come out from the building and I called him back. I got my Minute Maid and San Miguel Light and the delivery guy got no tip. I had prepared 100 Baht for him on top of the
shoe cabinet inside my door yesterday. Well, I returned the money to my valet.Well, my EX Teacher was late because they were sitting at Time Square while waiting for a friend to show up. But he was sitting in my kitchen drinking orange juice.
When they arrived my EX
Teacher got right on to the cooking. I was in charge over the rice cooking.It is the same story every time a Thai person is cooking in my kitchen. No rice cooker and they usually looks puzzled when I bring
out a pot. The rice were soon boiling and this time is
smelled real good. 100% Hom MaliWe were drinking orange juice while my EX Teacher was cooking. The food was ready in 30 minutes and it was excellent. Well, the chicken was a wee bit too spicy for me and I realised what my EX Teacher had
brought in one of the small plastic bags. BLACK PEPPER!! And there had been a fist full of it when she started to cook.
I could not find any leftovers so I asked:- Did you use all the pepper? It is spicy!
My EX Teacher was surprised.
- You never told me that you didn't like spicy.
Spicy or not, it was very tasty and we finished all the food. When I'm cooking there is always plenty leftovers. But strange, she told me that she hadn't used any chilli so it was impossibly spicy.
- No chilli, but pepper.
- Pepper isn't spicy!
We had a few beers in my kitchen and time turned quick and it were
soon too late to go to Nang Len on Ekkamai. I stopped at a place to see a few friends on my way to Ekkamai. Luckily enough they had San Miguel
Light in the bar and it didn't take long before I had a San Miguel Light in front of me.My friend took my camera and he started to take pictures of his friend while screaming:

pictures of his friend screaming bald. I told him that obviously he had not looked in a mirror for quite a few years and I took a picture of what
appeared to be a HELIPAD on top of his head.I had a few San Miguel Light before I continued to Nang Len at Ekkamai, and DARN! I never see so much people at a place before. Bangkok and it is usually very crowded during the weekends. But this was way too much, it was crowded outside the place so it was hard to get inside and next to impossible to get to the bar. And when I made it to the bar I just looked towards the exit. I really hoped that there would be any fire, would have ended with a catastrophe of biblical proportions. All these people, drunk, trying to get out, a disaster.
I can't even understand how they can be allowed to have so much people inside and I can't understand how people can enjoy this. I had a beer and I left.

and I stayed in bed all day long. I only drank beer yesterday and I remember how I got home and I remember that I was back home at 2 thirty. I finished the evening with a potato naan at an Indian restaurant on Khaosan Road. But even if the hangover wasn't all that bad I stayed in bed watching season 2 of LOST. Darn, LOST is a real bad TV show, but I have nothing else to watch.I washed my bed sheets, yes, washing my bed sheets is my Sunday routines. You have been out drinking and only God knows what I have had splashing on my legs while at the bathroom. So I wash
my bed sheets every Sunday and when my flower girl came she was surprised that I was washing my beed sheets.- WHAT? I WASH THEM EVERY SUNDAY!
She didn't believe me. Same a few weeks ago, I was washing my bed sheets and she told me it was about time.

And you know how stuff tends to expand to 4 or 5 times the size when you remove the wrapping. So I keep them in the wrapping and I save a lot of space in my closet.
So I never change, I just load my washing machine and they are ready in a few hours.
Takes 2 loads, I wash my duvet cover separately because if I wash it together with the bed sheet and pillow cases they tends to turn up inside the duvet cover and that can be a pain in
the arse. Especially since I have choose Sunday (Hangover) as the day to wash them. Well, anyway, I can watch DVDs while I'm doing the laundry. Washing and drying is pretty quick and I'm ready to make my bed with clean bed sheets after about 4 hours.+++++++++++++++

and my alarm went off at 9 but I didn't get out of bed until ten
thirty. DARN! One and a half hour late and I had to skip gym. I just had time for my morning tea and my Thai books before it was time to leave for school.Well, I will have to get back to my gym routines tomorrow morning. But I will have my 3 hours constitutional tonight and I will check out the
boxing club on Thong Lor. Well, I will check it out tomorrow, but I will locate the place
tonight so it will be easy to find tomorrow. So I will have
to find my skipping-rope as well.Suddenly it was 7 o'clock and I took off towards Thong Lor. I had not been walking for 2 days and what a difference after 2 days of rest. I was flying down Sukhumvit Road and I reached Bangkok Fight Club in 30 minutes. I
went up to the 10th floor to check out the place. I spoke with the Manager and I could start tomorrow.I will try one time before I make up my mind and then it is 2500 Baht per month
for 2 times per week. If I want to exercise on Monday, Wednesday and Friday as well I have to do Thai boxing, or as they call it here: Muay Thai.That's 3000 Baht per month so 5500 Baht per month 5 days a week. Well, I will see how it works out tomorrow night. Well, boxing
2 days a week and Thai boxing 3 days a week and I will for sure soon have my V-shaped torso. I left Bangkok Fight Club at 8 o'clock.I walked to Thong Lor Soi 20 and I walked up the Soi and it turned in to Ekkamai Soi 21 and I walked down Ekkamai to Sukhumvit and back home. My normal 3 hours constitutional
took 2 and a half hour today. Yes, my speed is improving by the day.Now if I could swap my Saturday night beer for soda water and it would make a big different.

and it is time to make my VISA extension. My alarm went off at 9
and I managed to get out of bed after a few minutes. Tea and tuna and I was down to our gym for some “GOOD MORNING” exercise.I had a shower when I came back from the gym and I was soon on my way to the Immigration. Light traffic and we reached the Immigration at 11 thirty something. I went for a queue number and the girl checked my documents. Of course, I needed copies of my passport and
visa so I had to go down to the ground floor to make copies.I found the copy shop and I had my 3 copies after cracking a few jokes with the girls and I returned to the Immigration office. I got my queue number and I had to wait for 10 or 15 minutes. And of course, when it was my turn there were 3 girls that had missed their turn. They had number 40 and I had number 51 and we arrived to the Immigration office's desk at the same time. The Immigration officer looked at me and I said “no problem”

When I had left my passport and application to the Immigration Officer she told me that it would
take 5 to 10 minutes to make my extension. So I went to buy a diet drink at 7 Eleven.When I came back the entrance door was closed for the lunch break so I had to enter through the EXIT door and when I came in to the Immigration they were having their lunch. There were 7 of them and when I came in I heard them say:

It was something like 20 minutes past 12 and I went out to get a taxi. I brought my school bag this morning even though I thought that the
chances for me to make it to school in time was very slim. But I made it back to school in time for my 1 o'clock class. Good, I didn't expect any school today so this was a pleasant surprise.2 hours in class and I had to dash off home in order to have time for tea and tuna before going to Bangkok Fight Club. I stopped at Bangkok Bank so I could get them to fix my ATM card, but they were closed so I guess I will have to wait for a few more days.
I stopped at Tops to buy Pumper nickel. I saw a ridiculous deal, buy pumpernickel for 39 Baht, save 90 Baht or something like that. But only for Tops card holders. So I had to apply for a Tops card. They charged me 50 Baht, but I saved 2500 Baht on the pumpernickel and now my freezer is full of healthy bread.
Coming around the corner to my Soi and I'm running in to a boy. Children, hard to say how old they are. This boy, maybe 7, 11 or 8, I have no clue. But he was opening a small box, maybe containing
a toy and he dropped some paper on the ground. I told him the he dropped a paper.- Mai pen rai, only garbage, he said turning around walking away.
- EH EH EH EH EH!!!!
He turned around and looked at me. Yes, I can be a bit of a Fascist when it comes to garbage. I pointed at the paper on the side walk.

He came back to pick up the garbage and I could continue my walk back home. There was a girl on the other side of the road and she was smiling. Well, they little guy probably threw the paper on the ground when he was around the corner.
I had my tea and “ TUNA & ONION SURPRISE ” ® and a shower
when I came home. I had time for 20 minutes' with my Thai books before it was time to leave for Bangkok Fight Club at Panjit Tower on Thong Lor.Of course, I walked to Thong Lor and when I had walked 300 meters up Thong Lor I heard someone screaming. I had my iPod on
full blast so I didn't heard. And there was a beautiful girl ahead of me in progress to cross to the other side of Thong Lor. So I had things on my mind. Well, anyway, our Boxing Instructor asked if I wanted a ride to Bangkok Fight Clob.- No thanks'! I'm walking trying to lose weight!
I was at Bangkok Fight Club on the 10th floor at Panjit Tower a few minutes before 7. I started to skip ropes and it went pretty
well, bear in mind that it was 25 years ago I did it last time. Of course, I don't have the same physical fitness today as back then. But maybe in a few weeks.
UK. A French girl, a girl that I think came from the UK and a Thai girl. The Thai girl had most likely had one of her parents married to an American or British because she was speaking English like a native speaker. And God, she knew this Thai boxing and I made a mental not
never to spar with her. She would have kicked my arse.We were soon starting our exercise so I had to put down my skipping rope. Darn, it didn't take many minutes before I was about to drop dead. Darn, it was 25 years ago I gave up boxing and my physical fitness is nowhere close to what it was back then.
And yes, I'm at the gym everyday and I'm walking 3 to 4 hours every day. But man, this was kick
ass. And as my Instructor said.- You will soon lose your belly!
I t was not the same as when I was boxing back in Sweden, but I recognised everything and the Instructor was screaming “GOOD ALADDIN! YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TECHNIQUE!” when we did the shadow boxing. So there must be something left after 25 years.
But after an hour I found myself on uncharted territory. We had to jump up and knee the bags. Left, right, left, right until the bell went off. This

Then we had to box on the bags, 5 rounds and this was of course something I knew how to do from
Helsingborg Boxing Club. But then we had to hit the bag and then give it 10 kicks. Muay Thai or kick boxing again. And then we had to box on something I never seen before.10 punches and then we had to put a series of elbows on the darn thing finish off with a spin and an elbow. Last time I did it my last elbow hit the concrete wall. I lost orientation after the spin and I smacked my elbow in to the concrete wall. DARN! That hurt.
We were scheduled to finish at 8 thirty but we continued until it was almost 9 o'clock. You might think that this was something I appreciated, well, I pay and this came as an bonus. But I was ready to leave for home at 8 thirty.

I paid 3000 Baht decided to go 3 times per week and when we finished I had decided to go 5 days a week. I wanted to check out the Muay Thai training, but it seems like the boxing and Muay Thai is the same here with kicking and elbows. So it will be 5 days per week, but not tomorrow. I can just feel that I will be stiff and full of aches from the training tomorrow.
Coming down to Thong Lor and I turned right towards Sukhumvit Road. My plan was to turn left walking up to Soi 20 and from there to Ekkamai and back home. But when we were finished our training I just wanted to go back home. But in the future I will take the way via Ekkamai back home so I get my 3 to 4 hours constitutional

and I didn't feel as bad as I had expected when I got out of bed at 9. Of course, stiff and full of aches from the training yesterday. But not so bad, but bad
enough for me to skip my GOOD MORNING gym and I will not go to Bangkok Fighting Club tonight. Well, maybe to pay the remaining 2500 Baht, yes, I have decided to go 5 days
per week. Stay home for 2 months more to get done with my diet once and for all. I will even see if I can find some alternative recreation for Saturday evenings.As I told my friend yesterday, drinking, what a waste of time. I don't have time to do anything during the weeks and then I waste the whole Sunday in bed.
I ordered stuff from Tops before going to school. Minute Maid and yes, they only had 25 cans of
San Miguel Light so I emptied their stores for the fifth time this year.First time for me to order the food online, yes, food. I ordered 20 cans of tuna
(without the extra paper and plastic cover)as well. But honestly, the San Miguel Light was the biggest post. And they will
hopefully soon keep a real stock of San Miguel Light.So next time at Tops, please buy as many San Miguel Light you can carry and they will soon learn to keep a sufficient stock.
I left school a wee bit earlier in order to go get a massage on Soi 23. I don't like massage but I was hoping that the massage could alleviate my ache from yesterday's training. Of course, didn't take long before the
girl started to nagging about sex. Yes, didn't take long for me to discover that she knew f@ck all about massage.- Hmm, maybe this is how massage suppose to be?
Well, anyway, she went on and on about sex. She had no money and a Special massage would render her more money.

the massage place.It is my turn to cook this very upcoming Saturday and I have plans for Salmon. So I really need to burn all the calories I can so staying home is really the worst case scenario.

Well, I skipped my evening constitutional. I could hardly move so I decided to have a day of rest. But tomorrow it is Bangkok Fight Club or bust. In worst case I will have to take some serious pain killers before going. I was in bed watching LOST until I was driven up the walls. Yes, the main
reason for my constitutionals are of course to lose weight. But I also really like walking and I discover new stuff all the time, meeting people and I'm thinking of other stuff than food.Now I was bored so I totter down to Soi 23 to check out one of the new Japanese restaurants. 3 new restaurants the last few months. We went to one of them a few weeks
ago, but they didn't had sushi and we left.Well, I decided to go check out SHA RAKU but it turned out to be a disappointment. Yes, it was a nice restaurant and the food looked good. But no Curry Katsu. And I never understood their sushi. I wanted avocado sushi and salmon
nigiri. There were a picture of a plate with nigiri sushi and obviously this was a mixed platter. I pointed to the salmon nigiri and I never understood it the waiter understood what I wanted. But I wanted a plate with only salmon nigiri.Well, I left and I walked down to Prasanmit Plaza and the Tohkai Japanese restaurant. My usual place and they have good avocado sushi and excellent salmon nigiri. The recognised me when I stepped inside. Yes, this is a good place and even if I arrive after closing time they make sushi for me.
I ordered my Curry Katsu, avocado and salmon. 600 Baht and a waste of money, well, never mind
the money. My diet, I'm home in bed with an aching body and I feel bored so I rush down to the first Japanese restaurant and
destroy my diet.But it did wonders to my pain. When I was back home I had so much guilt over the food so I forgot all about my pain. Well, tomorrow I will be back on my “ TUNA & ONION SURPRISE ” ® and black bread diet. Evening constitutional and Bangkok Fight Club and I are really looking forward to it. Now I hope I can fall asleep tonight.

and I was out of bed at 9 when my alarm went off. I'm still in pain from the boxing, or,hmm, maybe it is from the massage yesterday. I popped a pain killer
first thing and, well, I will skip my morning gym.I had my tea and “ TUNA & ONION SURPRISE ” ® and as soon as Tops has been her delivering my
stuff I'm off to school. I will not wait longer than to 11 o'clock and I'm out of here, food
delivered or not. I can't sit here waiting all day long. I have a language to learn and zillions
of calories to burn.I was waiting for Tops to come with my beers and orange juice, expecting them to arrive around 11. I was on my bed reading my Thai books and when I came out in the kitchen I saw 3 missed calls from Tops. I called them and they would come 5 o'clock in the afternoon.
I finished my Thai books before I took my shower. I discovered that it was quarter to 12 when I was ready. DARN! The clock was just 11 twenty and I rushed out to get a taxi to school hoping to
get to the 12 o'clock class.Of course, I'm in a hurry and as soon as we reach Asok we end up waiting for green light. 15 minutes, what the
is going on. Mid day and I usually get to Ratchadamri in 10 minutes. But today it took me 30 minutes and I was almost 15 minutes late for class.During the lunch hour, yes, many of the students are having their lunch so AT 1 and 2 are in the same class. Quite a few students and I didn't felt like bursting in to the class room in the middle of the class so I left. I took a taxi to Pantip Plaza to buy some DVDs. While waiting for the DVDs I went to buy a rubber stamp with my signature.
Yes, sometimes I have millions of copies to sign so a stamp can come in handy. I had to wait for 2 hours for my stamp so I told them that I would be back on Sunday to pick up my stamp.
I walked back home from Pantip Plaza passing World Trade Center and Ratchaprasong and what a
difference from when the Red shirts where here back in April/ May 2010.My plan was to stop at Bangkok Bank on Sukhumvit Road Soi 8 to get my ATM card sorted out. I plunged down Sukhumvit when a girl passed me on a motorcycle.

I turned around.
- Do you recognise me? I haven't seen you for 16 years! You still look very young.
I recognised her.
- Oh, you have glasses now. I like you very much or I hadn't remembered you after 16 years.
Yes I still look like 22. We talked for a while before she took off on her motorcycle. She
stopped at 7 Eleven on Soi 12 and obviously the motorcycle was too heavy for her and she felt. DARN! We went in
to 7 Eleven to buy something to drink.When we came out I discovered an old lady selling lottery tickets. And I made the mistake of the day. I was in a hurry back home in order to have
time for tea and “ TUNA & ONION SURPRISE
”
® before going to Bangkok Fight Club. I
asked the girl that I knew from 16 years ago to choose 5 lottery tickets for me. And now the hocus-pocus and
mumbo jumbo started.Then she was flipping through all the lottery tickets and I was like: “Hurry up, I have places to be at” But she was serious about picking
the lottery ticket and as we can see on the girl and old lady watching her, this
is serious business and nothing you are rushing through.Knocking on the lottery tickets and then flipping through all the tickets. Now I thought that she would be ready to
pick out the winner. But no, now it was time to feel every lottery ticket. I was jumping up and down while
thinking “I don't have time for this”.Of course, as you understand, I didn't say anything. I'm better off letting them do this the proper way with all the abracadabra
and mumbo jumbo. I don't want to step on anyone's toes. And it is not like I have had any success picking out lottery tickets. So maybe she is on to
something here.She went through the very same procedure again. Well, this time she checked the winning numbers from the latest lottery on the 16th of February.
Then she went back to flipping through the lottery tickets until she found a
lottery ticket she was interested in.She felt on the ticket and it was rejected and we started all over again. I had pretty much giving up hope of being home in time to relax before it was time to leave for Bangkok Fight Club. Suddenly she found her second choice and I was happy, 3 to go. And It was
really fun to see her in action, when she found a lottery
ticket she liked she beamed of joy.It was the same procedure until she had 5 lottery tickets. I usually buy 4 lottery ticket so she picked one of my 5 lottery tickets.
Well, it was bye bye and I continued up Sukhumvit Road. I had been walked for 50 meters when a guy in uniform stopped me. He wanted to see my passport.
Well, this must be the infamous Cigarette Police I read so much about in Bangkok Post back in August 2010.
- Hmm, this can be fun.I need something for my web page. I didn't carry

We passed 7 Eleven and the lady selling the lottery tickets. They were looking at me and Columbo.
They guy in uniform picked up my cigarette butt outside 7 Eleven. Yes, he was a real Columbo.
I must have been very excited during the whole lottery ticket selection drama so I must have forgotten what I did with my cigarette butt.And it is less than 24 hours since I told the Thai child to pick up his garbage. Yes, the lottery
ticket extravaganza must have made me forget myself.Well, anyway, I deserved the penalty. But first some fun. I'm desperate for something to put on my web page.
The guy showed me a notice with keep the city clean and 10,000 Baht fine. First time offenders were fined 2000 Baht. I had to fill up a form “Arrsting minute”. Yes, Aladdin and 22 years old. No one protested and this was a real boost for my self-confidence.
First the girl that said that I was looking the same as I was looking 18 years ago. And now the Scooby Doo Police thinking that I'm 22.
Well, anyway, the Scooby Police started to ask me questions.

He was getting nervous and he really didn't know what to say. I brought out my camera and I took
a picture of my ARRESTING MINUTE. Of course, I don't want to go through all this without having a little something for the internet. Now his friend started to scream.- No pictures!
Of course, they don't want me to take pictures. It is a scam, they only stop tourists and the whole keep the city clean is nonsense. But they had big notes around town about the 2000 Baht fine. So I can't complain and seriously, throwing garbage should be fined with a kick in the arse. I gave them 500 Baht with a “ Don't bother with the receipt ”
AND HEY! I PAID MY FINE SO I CAN CONTINUE TO BE THE NEIGHBOURE GARBAGE FASCIST TELLING THE CHILDREN TO PICK UP THEIR GARBAGE! AND THAT WITHOUT HAVING TO FEEL BAD!
I had my tea, black bread and “ TUNA & ONION SURPRISE ” ® when I came home. And as I had finished my Thai books this very morning I could relax a wee bit while waiting for Tops to come
with my stuff at 5 o'clock. Well, they had not showed up at 5 thirty and I had to leave for Bangkok Fight Club.I walked to Thong Lor while thinking about Tops Online shop. I decided not to use them again, I'm better off to go shop my stuff at Tops at Robinson and ask them to send it home to me.
I arrived to Bangkok Fight Club at 6 thirty with 2 bottles of water. I discovered that they sold water o the ground floor so I don't have to go to buy water at 7 Eleven again. I started with my skipping rope and I discovered that my rib cage was soar from my last training session. So I had to make it very careful.
Hopefully it will be better tomorrow.Well, I'm more and more convinced. No, I'm sure that we're training the Muay Thai. Today we were throwing a few punches on the bags and then it was kicking and kneeing. Well, it is hard and I'm burning calories. The Thai girl from last time had a friend with her and she was also kicking like a horse. I thought the darn bag will break every time they kicked the bag.
It is very friendly people at Bangkok Fight Club and I really like it there. So I paid the additional 2500 Baht today for me to train 5 days a week. We finished the kicking and I was half dead. It is not very easy to kick so it will take quite some time before I master the technique. And then I can concentrate on kicking hard.
I had to change bag while kicking, we're on the 10th floor and the 4 bags on the right hand side are just in front of the windows going from the floor all the way up to the ceiling. So I was afraid off missing the bag just to crash out the window. At the bags next to the office I don't have to see the ground 10 floors down.
And today we learned how to pay respect to our Trainer. The very same ceremony you can see on the Muay Thai boxing on TV.
It was 9 o'clock when I left Bangkok Fight Club, over time today again. And the other stayed behind for some sparring, the fun part of boxing. But I'm still soar after last training so I can't really spar today. As I told our Trainer.
- I have to wait 2 weeks or so. It is 25 years since last time I was boxing.
Coming down to Thong Lor and I turned right towards Sukhumvit Road. I will walk right back home skipping Ekkamai. I would love to take the Ekkamai tour, but I really don't have time. Look, here I
am writing on my web page 1 o'clock in the morning when I should be sleeping. My alarm clock is soon going off again.Well, I guess 2 to 3 hours of constitutional per day will have to be enough from now on. I discovered millions of missed calls from Tops when I came back home.

and I decided to skip the gym this morning. I'm not yet recovered and I'm really looking forward to two days of rest during the weekend. Bangkok Fight Club tonight and then nothing until Monday.I took a walk to Tops on Soi 19 and I stopped at the post office to send a letter. The called from

- OK, I'm home at 12 thirty.My plan was to buy San Miguel Light at Tops, but I decided not to buy any beer as they would deliver my San Miguel Light at 12 thirty.
I bought onion and 2 bottles of olive oil and I walked back home. I managed to finish my Thai books before they came from Tops. I got my Minute Maid and I popped open a bottle first thing. I got 20 cans of tuna( Without the extra paper and plastic top, should give me some credit with the cigarette police). My beer, I ripped open the parcel and I was instantly disappointed.

I was late for school, but I was alone in class. My French class mate are in Laos to make a new

He would be back in school on Monday and he will join me for Bangkok Fight Club on Monday night. Yes, we see. And party? I'm not sure I want to destroy this week by drinking.
And how will I spend Friday night? Yes, at Bangkok Fight Club. I'm stiff from all the kicking yesterday, but I will drop 2 pain killers before I leave. The girls are only there on Tuesdays and Thursdays so let's see if there will be any girls there tonight.
At first I didn't liked to have the girls there. What would they think when the human balloon was jumping up and down with the belly flapping. But after 30 minutes I really liked to have the girls there, when there are girls watching I just don't give up. I don't want them to think:

Friday night and it was only me and two other people training. I girl and boy from, well, I think America. I still have sore muscles from previous training. And especially the kicking from yesterday. But it is getting better by the day. And I need to learn how to kick, my first kickin' and I hit the bag with my feet. Not good, painful and it is easy to destroy the foot. Should hit the bag with the lower part of the shin. Just in the bend between the shin and the foot
Today we should spin around and kick.
- What theis this? I'm here for the boxing!But it might be good, if nothing else it might turn out to be fine motor skills activities.

and I woke up at 10 thirty, good, finally some sleep. I woke up with some back pain after yesterday's session at Bangkok Fight Club. But I popped 2 painkillers and I went to the kitchen for my vitamin capsules. I discovered 2 missed calls, yes, exactly the reason for me to have my phone in the kitchen. I don't want to wake up when someone is calling. Well, anyway, I called back and they are coming over for lunch at 13:15.- What the? I will have to get started with the cooking. See you soon!
I had not prepared anything so I called SCAN DELI
on Sukhumvit Soi 16. I ordered 2kg of dill creamed potatoes and one smoked salmon. Please ! Don't tell anyone, I will pretend that I made the dill creamed potatoes all by myself. Well, I realised that 2 kg might me too much, I know that they tend to “Dislike” my cooking and there is always plenty left over's. Well, the salmon is no problem, I will finish the salmon tomorrow.But the potatoes, well, what a shame to destroy a week at Bangkok Fight Club with dill creamed potatoes from SCAN DELI. But it is the same every Friday, after a week of healthy living I really feel my shirt and trousers getting bigger. But I'm back on square ONE after the weekend with 60 or 70 beer and good food. And one thing is for sure, dill creamed potatoes won't get me from fat to flat.I went to buy a case of San Miguel Light at my local 7 Eleven.

Half way back home I dropped a beer can. I turned around to pick it up and the second can felt
out of the case.- PLEASE!! NOT NOW!!I had my shopping bag that my friend bought me in India full of Minute Maids so I put the beer on top. I picked up the second beer can and can number three and four felt out from the case.

I took a shower when I was back home and I left for SCAN DELI on Soi 18 and not 16. I don't know why I always tell the taxi to take me to Soi 16. But when we reached Sukhumvit Road I realised my mistake and we entered Soi 20 and we passed through Rembrandt Hotel to Soi 18. Heave Saturday traffic on Asok and Sukhumvit and I stopped the driver from going via Asok in the nick of time and we went down Soi 23.

At SCAN DELI it took a wee bit longer than expected so I went out to tell the driver that it would take another minute. When I was back on the street the driver was gone.

I was waiting with the staff from SCAN DELI, but after 5 to 10 minutes we gave up and I took
another taxi back home.I poured the dill creamed potatoes in a pot and now it will look like I made them myself.
SCAN DELI. I had salmon for almost 3000 Baht so
there were a whole lot of salmon to roll. The girls were hungry so they went straight to the task to roll the salmon.The rest of the guys knocked on my door 10 or 15 minutes later.
We were almost ready with the salmon and the dill creamed potatoes were almost ready. So we sat the table and we started to eat. I was surprised that they liked the potatoes, and they
managed to finish almost all the potatoes. Otherwise there
is plenty left-over when I'm in charge of the cooking.Of course, who doesn't like smoked salmon. I had bought raw spiced salmon but I didn't buy as much as of the smoked salmon. I have never seen any raw spiced salmon in Bangkok so
I wasn't sure they would like it. But they turned out to like the raw spiced salmon
better than the smoked salmon.Well, it was around 9 o'clock when they took off to NA NA and I left for Khaosan Road. Yes, NA NA is not what I call a fun place, just a lot of sex tourists.
Khaosan Road and I went to a place where we had listened to some good live music a few weeks ago. They don't have
San Miguel Light, but they have Tiger Light so I ordered a bottle.The waitress brought me a bottle and a wine glass with an ice cube.

Sunday 27 th

and I spent most of the Sunday in bed. I left for Pantip in the evening to pick up my rubber stamps. I stopped at Mamas Pizza on Soi 19 on the wau to Pantip, but the place was full so I took a taxi to Soi 11 after Pantip Plaza. Limecello, one of my favourite Italian restaurants. But it was full so I went to the Italian restaurant next door. I don't know the name, but I will never go there again.I have 3 Italian restaurants that I will never go to again:
• La Gritta or what the name is on Sukhumvit Road Soi 19. Several years ago I ordered a Spaghetti Cabonara and I discovered hair in the food. OK, not so nice, but it can happen. But when I sent out the food again they behaved like it was my fault.
• Giusto on Soi 23, I have been there many many times because it is a 2 minutes' walk from my room. Last time I was eating there they charged me 800 Baht for something they called salad. I think it was Italian sausage salad. 5 leafs and 4 or 5 slices of sausage. They were so thin that I could see the plate through the sausage. Well, if they have salad on the menu it should be enough for a meal. Would be better to charge 3000 Baht for a real helping.
But the restaurant yesterday was something special. I ordered pizza with paprika. After a minute the waiter came back
- We're out of paprika
- What theI ordered smoked salmon and avocado, only salmon and avocado on one plate.
- You will have to pay 320 Baht for a salmon salad.
- Yes, whatever just bring me the salmon and avocado. BUT ONLY SALMON AND AVOCADO!!
I wanted fresh bread with my Salmon and Avocado. Of course, they were out of fresh bread.
- What the? You're out of paprika and fresh bread, what kind of restaurant is this.Then I got my plate of salmon.
- Where is the avocado?- It will come
- I ordered salmon and avocado!
I had finished my salmon when the avocado arrived to my table. Unripe and tasteless, the avocado was so hard it was almost impossible to chew. And the pizza, I left almost all of it, it was like a wet dishcloth.
My bill ended at 1013 Baht, never mind, I had already decided not to come back, ever. And I didn't left any tips. This was one of my worst restaurant experiences in a very long time. I should have gone to Marriott instead. I was on my way, but I decided to go for Italian, big mistake.

and I was out of bed at 9 o'clock. School at 1 o'clock so I will have time for my morning tea and “ TUNA & ONION SURPRISE
”
® before going to the gym. Then I will be ready (Hopefully) with my Thai books before going to school, and I willhopefully have a few minutes' time to talk with the girls having their lunch outside my condo.They are working at Asok and they are having their lunch at the restaurant outside my condo so
I'm running in to them on my way to school. They always stop me on my way to school and we have a chat. First time
I meet them they stopped me to have my picture taken.
- What theWell, I had finished my Thai books and gym before I left for school so I will have time to drink my tea and “ TUNA & ONION SURPRISE ” ® before going to Bangkok Fight Club after school. And Monday morning, after I weekend I have a big bag of empty beer and tuna cans. Tuna cans are cleaned and the beer cans are rinsed with water.
Otherwise it will smell of beer in my apartment and that is something I can live without with my Sunday hangover.
And of course, a bag of empty hangover juice bottles and the people in charge of the garbage will
be happy for two bags of sorted garbage that they can sell on Friday when they are coming to pick up the garbage.We skipped the break at school so I could go home a little earlier. I had my tea and a quick shower before I took off towards Bangkok Fight Club.
Back home at 10 o'clock and yet another day had come to an end. And not only the day, the month of February has come to an end and it is just to click to swing over to the month of March 2011!
