OK, it has come to my knowledge that we have senior citizens visiting my web page. How hard can it be? So it's not very easy for them to see the blue coloured links to the next page.

Auckland to Singapore with Singapore Airlines flight SQ286

Thursday 2 ^nd of November 2017 and I'm at the entrance waiting for the taxi. I call the driver and he is waiting at another hotel. He arrives a few minutes late. We are soon on the way to Auckland International Airport.

To about 30 minutes to get to the airport. Light traffic and nice weather so I enjoyed the ride in the back. Check-in was open when I stepped in to the terminal and I was soon having my boardingpass. Singapore Airlines don't have their own lounge in Auckland and they told me that I had to use Air New Zealand's lounge. Nothing I was happy about as it was like OK Corral last time I was in the lounge.

There had been so much people so you could not find any peace and quiet anywhere. Very stressful. I told them at the check-in and they were only laughing. Anyway, I was happy that my MAX was on the way and I said thank you and good bye.

I was lucky, Air New Zealand's lounge was almost empty and I could enjoy my time there. Drinking tea and eating pastries while checking out my bird pictures I had taken here on New Zealand and time turned quick. It was soon time to go to Gate 15 to board Singapore Airlines flight SQ286.

The boarding was just starting by the time I got to Gate 15. I was soon in my seat and I asked for a bottle of water. The seat was very comfortable, Singapore Airlines have the best seats, at least among the airlines I have been flying with.

We took off and they were soon coming to serve skewers, an interesting change from the bag of peanuts you usually get. And I got two mugs of Earl Grey tea.

Here we go, 10 hours or so to Singapore

No peanuts on this flight

I was setting up my computer and I was soon to discover that I had forgotten the power cable in the lounge. So my battery was flat after 2 hours. How to kill time now? I was disappointed with myself as my plan had been to work with my bird pictures during the flight. So I had to watch somemovies that I fast forwarded most of the time.

Nice food, nice seat and plenty tea. But it was still one of my worst flights due to a terrible restless leg. I had plenty pain killers but nothing helped. So this flight will make it in to my book over worst flights ever.

I walked around the cabin, jumping up and down, nothing helped. Lucky that we had a very nice crew on board and I was killing time talking to the beautiful crew while doing the M Jackson moon walk in the galley.

I can't remember having ever being happier to arrive than when we could get off the plane in Singapore. I said bye bye and I dashed of the plane and when I had walked for 50 meters or so the restless leg was gone. It was so nice.

I got my luggage and as soon as I was through the custom I ripped open the box with the MAX and I enjoyed a bottle on the way to Holiday Inn - Singapore Atrium. I asked for late check out and it was no problem to stay until 3 o'clock in the afternoon on the Sunday. I asked the staff to wake me up at 5 o'clock tomorrow morning.

- Please, give me a second call at 05:10
- No problem

They asked about my camera and I told them that I was here to look for birds and I will start at the Botanical Garden tomorrow morning. Click HERE to see if I find any birds at the Botanical Garden. I was really looking forward to my visit to the Botanical Garden.
