Well, the flag of Skåne, just a BONUS flag.
Tuesday 13thof March 2018and we loaded the luggage in to the car and we were soon on our way leaving Nagpur Airport behind. I was in the back enjoying a Pepsi MAX
watching the landscape passing by outside the window. Leaving Nagpur on a highway, 150 km to and a 3 hour ride. So I could imagine how the road would look like when we come off the highway.

As I said, never a dull moment on the Indian highways
We plunged down the high way in a whopping 80km/h, and I was happy. Going with a maniac driving in 150 is just making me scared now a days. Easy does it and it was a comfy ride. After 1 and a half hour or so we turned left leaving the highway behind. This road was a totally different story, well, I don't even know if I want to call it a road. A dust path at best so the average speed went down to next to nothing.
Cows blocking the road etc. But it was nice to look out the window, plenty birds and we stopped to take a picture of an Indian Roller. And a little bit later on we spotted one of the most beautiful birds. For sure it is the most beautiful bird of prey that I know of, the Black-shouldered Kite.
We arrived to the first gate to Tadoba where we had to check-in. There had been leopards and slot bears at the gate drinking water from the well. We drive through several villages and there had been tigers and leopards chasing wild boars. So this promise to be exciting.
As I said, never a dull moment on the Indian highways
I got the bird identified by a helpful member of the www.birdforum.net. This bird have always been called a Black-shoildered Kite and they still call it Black-shouldered Kite. But I could only find that the Black-shouldered Kite was found in Australia only. But Birdforum helped me:
Your second bird is now Black-winged Kite, they were separated and are now two species, Black-shouldered is now, only in Australia.
Thanks a lot!

We arrived to the hotel around 6 thirty. Dinner was not until 8 o'clock so I had time to settle in to my room. It was a nice room with hot water and good internet. So I was happy with the “camp” I went to the restaurant at 8 o'clock and I was a wee bit disappointed, only Indian food. But I got some excellent roti and tea. And they had some very good ice cream.
So all in all it was a good dinner. I was back in my room just after 9 and they will come to pick me up at 5 thirty tomorrow morning. No problem, I have been up 4 o'clock in the morning the last few weeks. So I will be ready tomorrow morning, stand-by in the reception with a few bottles of Pepsi MAX and my picnic breakfast that the will prepare for me.
