I will do some bird watching on New Zealand and I'm going to use two different companies. Habitat Tours and Wrybill Birding Tours. And one of the guys at Wrybill Birding Tours had been toWrybill Birding ToursTonga to swim with the Humpback whales. He gave me some HOT tips about birding on Tonga.

I will fly from Bangkok to Singapore, change flight and I will fly to Auckland where I will stay one night at the ibis budget Auckland Airport, the airport hotel. Flying to Nadi on Fiji in Melanesia. I will stay 2 nights before flying to Tonga in Polynesia.

I have studying the map and ibis budget Auckland Airport is very close to the airport. Seems like a huge mall next door for dinner (if they have a healthy alternative available on the menu) And there is a huge green area next door so it will be birding in the afternoon.

Last session at Chaiyasit Muay Thai Gym with ปีศาจแดง ก.กุมานนท์, Red Devil. We went to Sweeter Day for lunch when we were ready. OK, we went to Bellinies first as we knew we would eat too much if we went to Sweeter Day. We ordered our food and pastries. And Earl Grey tea, after 15 minutes or so they come to our table and tell us that they are out of Earl Grey tea. I told them to cancel the food and pastries.

Now they didn't look very happy and my friend told me that we had ordered the food already. I asked him what he would have done if we had order spaghetti with meat sauce and they told us that they were out of spaghetti.
- Would you leave or stay behind to eat the meat sauce only? Never mind they had “heated” the meat sauce already
- OK, I get your point! Let's go to Sweeter Day.

And we were right, we had way too much to eat and I was full of agony when I went back home. I should have gone home to my fruit salad straight after the boxing session. I bought new eye glasses in the evening, titanium frames and fog free glass. I need the glasses for my birding as the glasses I have now gets fogy as soon as it gets hot and I take the pictures.

They will deliver the glasses tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock. The AOT car is booked for 12 so I hope I get my new birding/ photography glasses before it is time to leave.

They called just after 11 o'clock and my new ONBEAT glasses had arrived. I went down to pick them up. Packing my bag and AOT called at 11 thirty, my car have arrived and I'm off for the Humpback whale adventure of a life time.

When I came down a guy that turned out to be the driver asked if I was Aladdin. He took my luggage while I went to throw my garbage. We were soon on our way and I was in the back minding my own business. Suddenly I realised that the driver was doing a U-turn on Asoke Road.
- Where are you going?
- Rama IX and the highway from there
- Why don't you take Sukhumvit?

Well, it was too late to do anything, I made a mental not NOT to give any tip while we drove around Bangkok to get to the toll way. I usually give 100 Baht for the airport taxi in tip, but this time nothing. Really, what makes him think I want to go around Bangkok when we can shoot straight out on the toll way from Sukhumvit, a few minutes away from my place?

Checking in to Singapore Airlines flight SQ 977 wasn't any enjoyment. I have bought many flights with my credit cards and I have never had to show them at check-in. Today they were asking for my AMEX, expired and I have a new card and this was a problem. I was not happy.

It is my name on the credit card and in the passport so what’s the big deal? I can understand if Mr. Scooby Doo have bought a ticket for Mr. Mickey Mouse. Finally checked in and I went through the security and immigration. Security, well, immigration, 2 desk open and the 2 desks for CREW was empty. But there were 2 immigration officers sitting there trying to look busy.

Anyway, I managed to get through quite quickly and I was soon on my way to the new SilverKris lounge on Suvarnabhumi International

I leave the SilverKris lounge at 3 o'clock and they had started the boarding when I arrived to the gate. I went on board and I took my seat. The Steward was soon bringing a bottle of water. The flight was full so no chance for an empty seat next to me. Turned out that my fellow passenger was from Belgium and he had been living in Singapore for 25 years.

He had been in Bangkok over the day for a business meeting. He knew a lot about Sweden and we talked about the good ol' times and time passed very quickly. I enjoyed 3 mugs of tea and I was skipping dinner. We were soon approaching Singapore and we did two circles over Malaysia before final approach as we were early. We landed in time and we left the airplane.

I said good bye to my new friend from Belgium and I went to look for the departure gate for flight SQ 285 to Auckland. And as I know that the SilverKris lounges here in Singapore have the Pepsi Light so I was looking for the SilverKris in Terminal 3

I stopped at Watson and I bought vitamins, fish oil and Baby Aspirin before I continued towards the SilverKris lounge. I did my medical exam when I came back home from Boreno. And I wasinspired by the result of my blood sample. Good cholesterol, very high. Bad cholesterol, very low. Sugar, low even though I had have breakfast before I went to the hospital.

They tell you to fast before taking to sugar test, but I had eaten just to see that the sugar levels went back to normal. Anyway, I had forgot my fish oil and vitamins so I bought a few small bottles on my way to the lounge.

First thing was of course to locate Pepsi Light. I grabbed two cans and I went to the computer area to play internet while waiting for my flight to Auckland. Time passed very quickly and it was soon time to leave for Singapore Airlines flight SQ 285.

I had time to finish two cans of Pepsi Light and I had two chicken sandwiches

I boarded flight SQ 285 and I took my seat. I pooped a sleeping pill and when the Stewardess came with the menu to ask me what i wanted to have for dinner I told her that I was going toSingapore Airlines flight SQ 285sleep. We took off and when we were airborne I asked the Stewardess to help me turn my seat in to a bed. I turned on the DO NOT DISTURB light

I woke up after 2 hours and I dropped my second sleeping pill. I woke up two and a half hour before arrival. I was soon having two mugs of tea next to me and I was watching a movie killing time until arrival. Dinner and they had have Gravlax as a starter and I was hopingYet another Smiley on www.aladdin.stthat they had saved my starter and I could have it for breakfast.

I was told that my gravlax was finished, well, I think the crew have enjoyed some gravlax early morning. I had tea and omelettes for breakfast and it was good.

Flying over Auckland

We were approaching New Zealand and as soon as we were over New Zealand it didn't take long before we were flying over Auckland. We landed and it was a bit of a walking before we reached the immigration. But the immiration was over in a jiff. Now we had to pick up our bags and thenAuckland custom X-raywe had to pass the custom and X-ray. And then we had to have a dog sniffing our luggage to make sure we didn't brought any food in to New Zealand.

Plenty peope and a long queue, but it went pretty quick to reach the arrival hall where I looked for a taxi sign. Auckland International was quite a nice airport and it was easy to find the way around the place. I bought a bottle of chocko milk and I found the taxi stand. 20 NZ Dollars to the ibis budget Auckland Airport

I took my seat in the back and we were soon on our way towards ibis budget Auckland Airport.

ibis budget Auckland Airport, well, I'm lucky that I'm only going to stay one night. The room was very small and I will have to sleep with my bag in the bed. There is just not any space to keep the bag. The restaurant, well, I will not have any breakfast there and I decided to go look for smoked salmon that I can enjoy in my room tomorrow morning.

But the shower was OK and I felt ready to take on anything when I came out from the shower. The plan is to go looking for birds in the area, something I have been looking forward to.
